Western art and media, from Hollywood to Broadway and most art schools, are overwhelmingly liberal. Beyond the usual complaint that radical liberals inject ideology at the expense of story, the real issue is a deeper misunderstanding of art itself.

Art is not merely self expression or emotion; it is a redemptive representation of truth. Think of Delacroix’s painted messy bed: by choosing paint over placing a real one, he reveals unexpected beauty in chaos. That is art’s power, it shows truths and beauties we would otherwise miss.

By contrast, extreme liberalism often denies reality, whether biological truths or human nature, and therefore undermines the very believability that good stories require. When characters or plots hinge on forced messages instead of authentic truth, immersion collapses.
